LEE COOMBS

From the start of his DJ career in 1989 Lee Coombs bathed himself in acid house parties in and around London and Cambridge. In an industry that is slip and slide at the best of times, Coombs rapidly made a name for himself. He went on to run his own labels including the critically acclaimed and much talked about electro-driven Zoid and Thrust Recordings. It was whilst working at Intergroove in the late nineties that he met with Finger Lickin' label boss Justin Rushmore. The rest is history. Coombs' contribution to Finger Lickin meant that his acid-angled productions gave him a float all of his own. Seb Fontaine and Pete Tong noted Coombs as the 'man to watch' after his 'Future Sound Of Retro' album was released on Finger Lickin' in June 2001. Remixes including Quivver and Sister Bliss set the stepping stones to the success that would follow. Soon his talents were being called upon to put his twist on everyone from New Order to Lamb to Moby.

BART INTEGRO

Bart Integro started playing progressive house back in 2002. Before that he had been trying on diferent styles but they all did not fit! Right from the start he knew the good records. Starting to collect records in the genre with you're first record being JSJ's Ghost Of You (Renaissance) is not just something! Early 2005 Bart joined Frisky Radio after a friend of his had been haunting him with the url for weeks! After the first listen he was hooked. At firts only demo mixes were broadcasted but a little later Bart & Yao set up the Dutch FriskyNights, after a break for the summer the event should be back on a bi monthly schedule. Also: a monthly radioshow on Frisky Radio is at hand, stay tuned for more on that! In this mix Bart has tried to go back in time a bit. Starting off with an unrealesed track, which was made by a goed friend of his,he starts taking it back in time and deep into the darkness! STEVE JAMES

Steve James is an 8 year veteran of dj'ing. Having been introduced to progressive house music in late '98 at a little party called Zen, where Sasha & Digweed changed his life. Steve is no rookie to internet radio, and more recently hosting his show 'MercuryRising' has led to numerous other ventures. Frisky Radio has long since supported Steve with such mixes as Zelda Sessions, and Troubled Path. This is yet another chapter in Steve's long resume of radio gigs, and certainly not one to miss. He's put together a techy-proggy-druggy-clubby-chunker for you this time around, so get a clean pair of shorts out.

KUZE

2005 has been quite the year for Kuze. He now has residencies at two distinct monthly events in San Francisco - the house and broken beat night Fahrenheit @ 111 Minna Gallery, and Still Doin' It @ Anu, which has become a drum n bass staple in the local scene. He has DJ'ed alongside drum n bass visionaries LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad, Photek, Clever, and Armanni as well as house heads Galen and Solar, SF legend Jeno, and Antonio from Green Gorilla Lounge. The future looks bright as well, with a quarterly residency in Bend, Oregon, and continued bookings at top venues like Ruby Skye in San Francisco. Kuze has been featured on Future Breaks FM, a long-running dance music radio show, and was Frisky Radio's Artist of the Week earlier this year. He is intimately involved with the drum n bass presence for San Francisco Love Parade, which is expected to AGAIN be one of the highlights of the festival. YAO

The mix for FriskySessions003 is probably his last mix made with vinyl, since he is hoping to make a transfer to cd-decks within a few months. Not a perfect mix, but one straight from the heart, made in a percussive sexy mood. It is called .Vufofo. which is Ewe (Ghanaian) for .drumming.. Yao is also the Ghanaian name for Pepijn van der Linden, meaning he was born on a thursday; it was given to him by his Ghanaian friends on a stay there.

.Consider this mix a token of my love for the Continent of Africa and it.s people: I.ve seen the good side of it, lived with them for a while. It is out there that I finally learned the true meaning of being totally happy. In a war-torn continent I.ve experienced an incredible degree of hospitality and friendliness, more then I had expected to receive from people who have almost nothing to give. Yet they had more to give than some of the richest people out here..
