Tarmo Vannas

Tarmo Vannas, born in January 1982, has been active in the local underground dance music scene in Tallinn, Estonia, for over 12 years. He runs the TechTribe organization, promoting quality progressive electronic dance music in Estonia.

He has a weekly radio show TechTribe Essentials, 1-hour upfront quality progressive electronic dance music hot-mix, broadcasted on Proton Radio and various other web stations, also broadcasted on nation-wide FM-station Radio 2 in Estonia. He also has a monthly show on very popular friskyRadio web station and hosts a podcast on the TechTribe website. Hundreds of listeners around the world tune in to his shows every week to check out the latest quality progressive electronic dance music sounds from around the globe.

The style and type of the music he is playing has the main criterion that it's good quality music - playing what he feels is the most upfront and developing style of the moment as well as classic sounds that are timeless. At the present his musical direction has evolved into something more unclassified, a mixture of sounds varied from deep and tech to lush and melodic to dark and hypnotic peak-time groove - house, techno, minimal, breaks and trance are just elements combined together to form the progressive sounds he is playing.

He has a list of original productions, collaborations and remix work currently in the making. His latest track "Topaz" has already gained early support from Jody Wisternoff and is signed to Proton Music with remixes from a list of top names in the scene to be released in 2007. Back in 2005 his remix of Digital Witchcraft's "Fingerpaint" for Proton Music remix competition gained great support from the likes of Perry O'Neil, Above & Beyond, Greg Benz, Andy Moor, Bobina, Niklas Harding, Matthew Adams and many more.

Continuing with his TechTribe radio shows, playing at various clubs and events, and working on the production and remixes, he is now ready to build his DJ/producer career into international territories. Remember to watch out for this name...

Spin Science & Nighteyes

Spin Science is the pseudonym for upcoming artist Ular Aasmae. Born in Estonia in 1984, Ular was not always into music - it became his passion in the late nineties, when he discovered the beautiful sound and aura of Electronic Dance Music.

Throughout the years of discovering EDM, his taste and style evolved from trance, to deep and tech house. A major role in that evolution was played by local house gurus, Rulers Of The Deep and Dave Storm, who influenced him by their fabulous radio shows on Estonian National Radio (Radio 2).

Ular started creating music almost three years ago while he was still into progressive trance. This era taught him the ropes of expressing himself musically, but his productions really took off when his bootleg mix of Vibe Residents (Rulerd Of The Deep) feat Dragonfly "DJs Calling" was made. After hearing his own production on one of ROTD's radioshows, he realized that house music is the genre that truly touches his soul.

After many more months of hard work, his dedication finally paid off when his first ever EP, Fill Your Soul, was signed for a release on Dave Storms own Cabrio Records. His second release on ROTD Recordings is on the pipeline as we speak with almighty ROTD remix on the flipside.

As well as keeping himself busy in the studio, there are big plans for DJing in the future! Ular has set aside much of his life for music and dedicated studio time, so watch out for this young, talented Estonian and many more Spin Science productions.

Nighteyes is a 21 year old upcoming DJ/producer from Tallinn, Estonia. With two years of hosting a Friday night radioshow together with DJ Cardinal in Estonia on a local dance music station under the dj name "DTB" and gigs at various clubs and open air events, he has been quickly establishing himself in the local electronic dance music scene. Coming from a musical background, he is no stranger to making music as he currently has a 12" release (Spin Science & Nighteyes - Flotsam & Jetsam) released on Cabrio, a label run by one of the top jocks of Estonia - Dave Storm.

Now he is a musical director at bowling center Bowlero and has a promotional deal with company Disco Records in Latvia. His first promo CD called "Capital Night Mix" was published by Disco Records in May 2005 as a very limited edition. Marius Ivanoff is the undoubted leader in Lithuanian dance music world. He started his career 11 years ago, in a dawn of Lithuania's club life. However that long toil helped for his distant, professional DJ career. He has perfected his mixing techniques and choice of musical composition. He developed his musician value.

The genuine work for Marius Ivanoff had started when he began to work with DJ Mindaugelis in 1998. From then Marius and Mindauges sets back to back were fascinating clubbers in Lithuania and year by year they got more and more fans.

DJ Sun is one of the best DJs and probably the most successful music producer in Lithuania. He started DJing in 1996 and since that time his success was progressing rapidly. Standing on his own was not easy, competition was great, jealousy and hostility was obvious in the DJ realm. However, nothing and no one could get in his way of becoming one of the most appreciated DJ of Lithuania. DJing at most popular venues over the world became his way of life.

As music was taking over his life, he started producing music himself together with young genius musician Fyzo. They started with light vocal tracks like "Feel free" and "Milky way" moving onto extremely progressive "Tarabanda". "Lortnoc" was their most loved and cherished "baby" and in a week became the hit in clubs of Lithuania. "Tarabanda" and "Lortnoc" have been noticed by DJ Chus and Pablo Ceballos and appeared in their hype charts. They have been released in February of 2005 on Tribo recordings.

Their record "Tarabanda/Lortnoc" has been included in the charts of Dj Andry Nalin (Nalin & Kane), Piliavin & Zimbardo, Southpaw, Craig Demo, Feredico Guist, Hypno, Danny Graham and many others. It was played on Frisky radio, Eccentric beats radio, European hit radio, and Kiss100 during "Happening" radio show hosted by Tom Stephan aka. Superchumbo. Still in the euphoria after releasing the first record, Dj Sun combines his skills once again with productions partner Virus J to deliver a quality EP "Cocain/Get Drunk" for Piliavin & Zimbardo's Distraekt Records offshoot label, Distraektions. The record was rated 8/10 and described as "superb deep EP" in the I-Vibes review and already got big support from Djs like: Eric Entrena, Thomas Penton, Moshic, Piliavin & Zimbardo, Anthony Pappa, That Kid Chris, Peter Rauhofer, Chus & Ceballos, Maurel & Fauvrelle, Aldrin (Zouk), D-Formation and legendary John Digweed.

Lynnie

DJ Lynnie started his musical career in 2000, at the time when club culture was at its beginnings in Lithuania. Of course, the talent of this perspective DJ did not appear over night. The beginning of DJ Lynniees career was very difficult, just as any other young ambitious DJes. Nobody was willing to give him much of advice. The young DJ did not have many contacts, either. What he did was studying by his own bootstraps. First record-players which he bought himself, failures in his efforts to mix several compositions, demanding a lot from himself, passion for the job, and a never ending desire to hold sway over the public gave results one day. Today Lynnie is one of the most perspective DJfs of younger generation in Lithuania.

During the last couple of years Lynnie has warmed-up many famous DJs: Flash Brothers (Agnosia Records, IL), Deepgroove (Underwater Records, UK), Chris Lake (Rising Records, UK), Omid 16B (Excession, UK), Barry Gilbey (Choo Choo Records, UK), Piliavin & Zimbardo (Distraekt Records, UK), Chris Vaux (PunchFunk, UK), Simon Blann (PunchFunk, UK), Jon Gurd (PunchFunk, UK), Alex Collings (Dirtbox, Turnmills, UK), Dan Welton (Shove Records, Swiss), KingKade (Minimal Records, UK), Bogdan Taran (Amber Muse, LV) and many others.
