Birdy

Born in Paris in 1972, Birdy first got in touch with electronic music in the year 1989, during a trip to Detroit where he spent most of his time in underground clubs. A few years later, he started working for various party organizers in Lyon and began to spin records at private rave parties. Famous French Progressive DJ Max Le Sale Gosse then decided to book him for an official party. And his career took a big step forward. His skills brought him up to play in clubs like Space and Fridge in Lyon and abroad in Spain and Lithuania, among other locations.

In 2000, he met Nugen, a talented French progressive house producer, and became part of the Nu-records label.

After settling down in Paris, he played at Folies Pigalle, Vinyl, Batofar, les Bains Douches, took part in the huge Techno Parade in 2002 and 2007, and currently organizes events going towards progressive, electro, minimal or even trance sounds, inspired by artists like Laurent Garnier, Guy Gerber, D-Nox, Trentemoeller, Timo Maas, Francesco Farfa, Sasha, Digweed, Luke Dzierzek or Chris Lake. Together with Nugen they performed at Morphismes's parties á Quattrocento â which soon became the best progressive house parties in Paris. 2006 took a new turn with the birth of the Connected Parties, along with deejays Faskil, Be (KRM, Atlant rec.) and Boombatcha, Uk (Sumsonic). Already a huge success, those parties have an unmatchable family spirit.

Faskil

Born in Brussels (Belgium), Faskil started to show interest in music by messing around with Trackers on PC. Those basic composition softwares allowed him to make his first steps in sound crafting. In 1995, he teams up with fellow Radio Campus partner in crime El Borbah to form the band Bump & Grind. They release their first album, deCreate, on newborn belgian label Exit Records. The second album, Init Sequence, is released in 1998 on another Brussels based label, Sub Rosa. A blend of massive cinematic beats and weird click'n'cut, it also features remixes from Scanner and Third Eye Foundation. Bump & Grind turns to BNG in 2000 for the release of their third installment : Abstract Theme Variations, featuring some Autechre-inspired electronica as well as heavy stomping and distorted beats. ATV2 follows in 2002, as a sequel, with brand new tracks and remixes from Speedy J, Gez Varley (aka G-Man, half of LFO), Mick Harris and Elixir. After remixing The Box from Orbital for the compilation The Fire This Time, the BNG project was put on hold as both founding members got busy with their solo projects. Faskil came back to production in 2005 and started releasing new remixes in 2006 for Ascension and Composure Records. Gaining major support from the progressive scene, Faskil is now working on new remixes and brand new material for a 2007 release. Faskil is also hosting a monthly 2 hour show on ETN.fm and launched the Connected parties in Paris, wth fellow DJs Boombatcha & Birdy.
