Ioan Gamboa

A new phase, a new name. Ioan Gamboa is the chosen name by Kill minimal to identify his current music style, a sound way more closer to his melodic roots that matches a new stage in his artistic search. Ioan Gamboa has settled his studio in Berlin, where he is absorbing, at first hand, the flowing energy of this rockin city. While searching the way to improve his past productions, his latest creations got the support of Hernan Cattaneo with a release of 2 tracks on Sudbeat label: eSpiral EPf, which was also honoured with a powerful remix by Cattaneo and Soundexile of the track that named the EP. Since then, releases have came out in labels alike, near to the sounds and style he really wants to achieve. These latest releases have been supported and charted by artists like Hernan Cattaneo (Sudbeat/Renaissance), John Digweed (Bedrock) Henry Saiz (Reinassance/Natura Sonoris) or Nick Warren (Hope records). As Kill minimal he has tracks on a wide range of electronic music labels all over the world (Spain, Germany, Italy, Uk, Canada..), and he has also released his first album gHier Rein, Da Raush in 2010. A musical emotion that saw the day of light on his own label, Madberlin. The live show done by Ioan Gamboa is all about breaking up his tracks to extract each one of its sounds to finally create a glive musical puzzleh. His powerful live set, as well as his own productions, have led him to play all over the world in festivals like Sonar Festival (Barcelona) or Klubbers day (Madrid), and parties in Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin or UK. Marc Marzenit

Precociousness in techno has its best and latest representative in Marzenit. At the age of 11, while studying classical music in an music academy, he got his first synthesizer and at 14 he was walking around the electronic music festival So'nar looking for electronic emotions. At the age of 22 he performed his first live set at Florida 135. Only one year later, he created his first label, Paradigma Musik, which now has several international artists such as Paul Ritch, Henry Saiz, Gary Beck, David Keno and Gavin Herlihy among others. His first publications were received and demanded by the most selective circles of international electronic music. A few years later, his songs were being included in compilations of John Digweed, Sven Va"th, Hernan Cattaneo, Wally Lopez, Secret Cinema and Tie"sto. His latest productions and remixes have been released in prestigious labels such as Cocoon, Bedrock, Traum, Natura Sonoris and Paradigma Musik. Marzenit's prompt definition --concise vs. eclectic-- of a personal, unique and unprecedented style is what draws him apart from the other talented 'techs'. In his productions and live sets there is an anabolic, epic and progressive techno, which provides intimate, fascinating glider melodies. What makes Marc unique in his work is his ability to impregnate sense and sensibility to that 'muscular' techno in an unusual and even paradoxical way. After ten years on the stage, Marc has played all around the globe; Australia, England, Argentina, France, Mexico, Canada, Holland, Costa Rica, South Korea, and Brazil are some of the most recent venues for his live and Dj sets.

JuanP

Started DJing back in the nineties, he moved the crows at several clubs around Madrid, Asturias and Santander. Classic dancefloors as Archy, Mondino, Oh! Madrid or Oh! Santander were his domains, back in the club's golden era of the late nineties in Spain, when there weren't closing hours and parties seemed to last forever. Later, in the 2000s, he became resident at Pacha Madrid. He also worked in some recording studios as a producer and teached musical related computer science (MIDI, digital audio, etc) at CES (Sound Studies Center of Madrid). Now he plays at important events during the year, delivers fresh sets via podcast and at Frisky Radio and make distinct kinds of audio productions. JuanP's radio sets are eclectic and intense. He loves to mix non-similar tracks together creating complex blendings that make the transitions a fundamental part of his work, often slightly remixing the components and adding new layers.

ABOUT FRISKY LOVES Spain

The Concept: Pick a region, usually a country, and showcase its electronic dance music to the world. The hand-picked DJs from the friskyRadio robots are sure to paint a unique picture of whats hot in that part of the world.

The Show: friskyRadio Loves...

The History: It all began with Argentina. Back in 2005, we had an idea: Why not do a show solely on Argentina, where some of the most passionate friskyRadio DJs and fans come from. Indeed, the first friskyRadio Loves Argentina wasnt even called "friskyRadio Loves Argentina," for even we didnt know what a unique concept and show we were pioneering. At the time, there was simply nothing like it anywhere: not on Internet Radio, not in FM radio. Like so many things on friskyRadio - we were the first to bring the 'Country/Region' showcase concept to the world. Since then have visited well over 30 countries or regions, from Russia to Finland, from Holland to DENVER and everything in between.
